Gan Israel is much more than a physical break from the school
routine and winter activities. It’s a comprehensive program designed
to strengthen the body and soul. It provides your child with a rich and
wholesome summer vacation of fun and excitement along with
friendship and meaningful educational experiences.

Staff

Child development is the most significant ingredient in a healthy
camp experience. This is why our staff is the real secret to our
success. Our experienced counselors are known for their personal
warmth and ability to care for each child as an individual. Many staff
members return year after year, lending experience and continuity to
all programs. Each counselor is a role model for our children,
promising them friendship which will last forever! Their love for the
children is surpassed only by the children’s love for them.

Sports & Athletics

At Gan Israel, campers participate in various sports activities, receive
expert coaching and enjoy a wide array of recreational activities. Our
sports coaches are professional physical education instructors who
teach with patience, guidance and encouragement. New for the
Summer of 2010 will be unique skill-building instructions in soccer
and basketball. Individual and group training will allow each camper
to end the summer a better athlete. Our focus on good
sportsmanship and self confidence makes everyone a winner!

Swimming Instructions

Swimming training and technique improvement are under the
guidance of Red Cross Water Safety Instructors. Each camper will
be tested at the onset of the summer and placed in training groups
for personal and group instruction. Our goal is to utilize the
swimming time at camp to improve the campers’ swimming skills and
motivate them for greater aquatic ability. Rest assure that safety is
priority #1.

Gan Israel campers are imbued with a deep sense of pride in their
Jewish heritage and a love for the land of Israel. Weekly Judaic
